I downloaded Zenoss to try out monitoring my w2k3 servers and I can't get it working to save my life. I've read through the forums and still no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is what I've done so far:
- I have the 2.0 vmware appliance running. I can log into the web site just fine. - zWinUser and zWinPassword are set in the zProperties for Server/Windows. I'm testing on a local network with no domain so I set the username to.\Administrator. - I can connect sucessfully using wbemtest. - the zenwinmodeler log is full of entries like 2007-06-28 10:35:24 ERROR zen.zenwinmodeler: devices [] - I've tried turning Windows Firewall off When I try to add a new device and save, the screen refreshes and there is nothing listed. Are there step by step instructions somewhere (besides on the site)? It sounds like this is supposed to "just work" but there must be something that I am missing.
