I have tried to install Zenoss 2.X using both the rpm method and
the build from source method as outlined in the documentation.
Both methods have failed. It appears there is a mismatch in
versions for some C API. I wonder if this is a problem with the
Python version not being 2.3.5 or something else.
Bottom line, if someone has some straight forward directions it
would be appreciated.
I am working from a clean install with all of the current updates
avaialable through yum update.
Chris,
I think this is because Fedora 7 comes with Python 2.5 standard.
Zenoss isn't compatible with Python 2.5. Your only option may be to
install a local version of Python 2.4 into /opt/zenoss and use that
for your Zenoss installation.
