Okay, got this working, but I don't know if it was that particular patch or 
something else.  

Here's what I found.  When I first created the template, I just copied the 
ethernetCsmacd and renamed it to Radio Spread Spectrum (802.11).  Which is the 
exact name of the interface type.

So I applied this patch, restarted zope, deleted that template, and re-copied 
the ethernetCsmacd and renamed it as I did before.  Still had the same problem. 
 So I deleted the template, and created it from scratch.  When I created it 
from scratch, I named it Radio Spread Spectrum (802.11), but when it was 
created, it was named Radio Spread Spectrum _802.11.  This template name seems 
to match the interface type correctly...

Just wanted to close the loop.
