I know I posted a reply earlier but for the life of me I can not find it...anyway...here we go again.
> I've added a ticket to add example templates to both DnsMonitor and > HttpMonitor: Thank you. I will keep an eye on the resolution of those tickets. I really like Zenoss and am interested in exploring this part of it. > The time datapoints are the number of seconds taken to conduct the > http check or dns lookup. This morning I was under the belief that this was a fairly useless statistic because it was not a 'hard number'. By this I mean that it does not test a single variable...is the problem in the network, or with the server or with the Zenoss server, etc... but, the more I read your response and the more I think about it, it is a very nice thing to see.. It shows a more real world stat. More or less what a user would experience. Nice. Now I just need to figure out how to apply the same template to all of my DNS servers instead of individually and I will be in business.
