I recently setup a base install of CentOS 5 and installed
zenoss-2.0.3-0.el5.i386.rpm according to the how-to guide.

When starting Zenoss I was getting netsnmp errors and multiple zen
processes would not start.
[AttributeError: /opt/zenoss/bin/python: undefined symbol:
netsnmp_get_version)]

I found some related information in the community forum
(http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=8445) and tried the
symlink method but it didn't seem to work . I ended up deleting the
pynetsnmp folder and that seems to have resolved it so instead I get a
warning.
[/opt/zenoss/Products/ZenRRD/SnmpDaemon.py:30: UserWarning: Using
python-based snmp engine
  warnings.warn("Using python-based snmp engine")]

I'm concerned that I may be losing functionality.
Is the python-based snmp engine sufficient or should I try one of the
other possible fixes?
Has anyone else resolved this same issue and have any suggestions?

I wonder if the same issue would come up if I installed from source
instead of using the RPM.
