Okay, I've read the documentation over and over, searched the forums and online docs, and played with my copy of Zenoss and I still don't have a good grasp on how to use event mapping, or even what it does.
Here's my question: If I have an event (such as a page that I'm monitoring with http_check) and the eventClass is set to /Status, can I: a) Create a mapping for this event? I've tried checking the box next to the event and choosing "Map Events To Class" and it always returns with "Created 0 Event Mappings". b) Use Event Mapping to rewrite the event fields (such as summary). It sounds like others have got this down cold, so if you could help a struggling sysadmin I would be very grateful! Thanks, Nate -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=9369#9369 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
