Simon,
The HTML system sounds like it could work. I am presuming it is something
like what was available for the 1.1.x documentation, or perhaps something like
a wiki? I do not have any experience with svn, so I may need some training
before I could use that.
I see lots of missing commas, and some word usage that I would probably
suggest changing. I realize American English is probably not your primary
language (I could easily be wrong here, just guessing!), so I don't expect a
perfect document, but it would be nice to be able to make changes to make it
better for everyone.
Ticket 1816 has a few of the errors, but I stumbled over a lot of things
in just the first 30 pages of the manual. Page 26 refers to Figure 13, and
says there are 5 different classifications, but I see only 4, for example.
Also, since I am new to ZENOSS, and don't have a good grasp of how everything
works, I could be mis-understanding the intent of any given sentence, so it may
be punctuated correctly I just don't understand.
I would tend to put in a lot more commas, for clarity, and I find them missing
on nearly every page I have read so far. It would be too difficult to list
each missing comma in a ticket.
If you guys (and/or gals) want to work it over yourselves, just read each
sentence out loud, and wherever you pause, you need to put a comma or other
punctuation. Just let me know when I can start making changes, and I'll try to
jump right on it!
Thanks, Roger
