So I was trying to generate an up/down link message off a cisco 2811. Cisco is
sending the packets (I'm debugging snmp packets on it) and I did somehow,
manage to get the warning once. But I've repeatedly pulled the network cable
(each time the router sends the packets) but Zenoss isn't upping the count.
This is what I'm seeing in the event console for these events:
yourname.yourdomain.com
/ÂCisco
FastEthernet 0/1, changed state to down
2007/08/02 19:37:30.000
2007/08/02 19:37:30.000

router
/ÂCisco
Interface (?P\S+), changed state to down
2007/08/02 19:34:17.000

Like I said, since that time though, I've caused the trap to be generated at
least a dozen times. Can anyone tell me why? I'm pretty new to this, so I'm
still floundering a bit.
