I am currently evaluating Zenoss and am running the virtual machine. I have an issue where when I have a service start or stop that I am monitoring on a Windows server I get an error message logged instead of a success/failure. The error message is as follows:
WMI connect error on nddc.ndscorp.com: bad format char passed to Py_BuildValue When this error is logged, the service state does not change at all from within the device OS "dashboard". I have tested WMI on the server itself, and it appears to be operating properly. At least according to what is in the Zenoss documentation. Does anyone have an idea as to what the issue could be? Any assistance that you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
