Perhaps I may have found the reason, but when building from the src.rpm on RHEL4 I get the error:
> > gmake[4]: Entering directory > `/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/zenoss-2.0.3/build/rrdtool-1.2.23/bindings/ruby' > gcc -fPIC -O0 -g -pipe -m64 -Wall -fPIC -I. > -I/var/tmp/zenoss-2.0.3-0-root/usr/lib64/ruby/1.8/x86_64-linux-gnu > -I/var/tmp/zenoss-2. > 0.3-0-root/usr/lib64/ruby/1.8/x86_64-linux-gnu -I. -I../../src -c main.c > main.c:6:18: ruby.h: No such file or directory > then a host of compile errors like: > > main.c:14: error: syntax error before "mRRD" > main.c:14: warning: type defaults to `int' in declaration of `mRRD' > main.c:14: warning: data definition has no type or storage class > the error indicates to me that the ruby header files are not found. Not being a ruby-person, what package/source is providing the rudy header file? Is this related to the version of python that is installed on my build system? thanks for any and all pointers. ------------------------ Steve Jones -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=9638#9638 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
