We are experiencing segmentation fault in zenwin, zenwinmodeler and zeneventlog when trying to poll a faulty server.
The server has some serious issues, but i guess the services mentioned need some error handling witch prevents them from crashing when polling a faulty server. "What use is a system monitor when it crashes if a server is faulty.." [Wink] If we don't poll that specific device everything works like a charm. The server is a MS Windows 2003 Terminal server, it replies to ping but other services are not responding on the server. wmi connections with wbemtest gives a "RPC server is unavailable", RDP to server gives "Connection refused". We will leave the server untouched for now if someone needs more info/debuging/testing on this matter. Due to lack of remote console on the we have not been able to review server logs as of now, but i will post back later if we find something worth mentioning in the server logs. Thanks. -- SIHF Log output is as follows: zenwin: DEBUG:zen.wmiclient:connect to XX.XX.XX , user DOMAIN\User Failed to bind to uuid 4d9f4ab8-7d1c-11cf-861e-0020af6e7c57 - NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER Segmentation fault zeneventlog: DEBUG:zen.wmiclient:connect to XX.XX.XX, user DOMAIN\User Failed to bind to uuid 4d9f4ab8-7d1c-11cf-861e-0020af6e7c57 - NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER Segmentation fault zenwinmodeler: DEBUG:zen.wmiclient:connect to XX.XX.XX, user DOMAIN\User Failed to bind to uuid 4d9f4ab8-7d1c-11cf-861e-0020af6e7c57 - NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER Segmentation fault Other info: Zenoss Zenoss 2.0.4 OS Linux (i686) 2.6.18 (Linux XX.XX.XX.XX 2.6.18-4-686 #1 SMP Wed May 9 23:03:12 UTC 2007 i686) Zope Zope 2.8.8 Python Python 2.4.4 Database MySQL 5.0.32 (Ver 5.0.32) RRD RRDtool 1.2.23 Twisted Twisted 2.5.0 SNMP PySNMP 3.4.3 Twisted SNMP TwistedSNMP 0.3.13 NetSnmp NetSnmp 5.2.3 -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=9981#9981 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
