I am attempting to define a command that will basically run a diff on the SNMP sysName. Currently when we have a server failover to backup, I have to log in by hand to see what server the backup took over for. What I would like to do is have a command that runs against my sysName, and if the known sysName is not equal to the modeled value, I would like to generate a trap for it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about doing this?
