Chet, You rock! For anyone unfamiliar with configure options, the command looks like this (from inside the directory where Python was unpacked):
./configure --enable-unicode=ucs4 This fixed the issues with starting the zenoss services. Now, I'm hoping that moving from Python 2.3.4 to 2.4.4 will make the WMI (zenwin) stuff work correctly. Chet, this brings me to one question though. We would like to use Zenoss not just for monitoring but also to inventory our desktops and laptops for software packages installed. Will WMI be enough for this or do we need to install SNMP on all desktops and laptops to get this functionality? Thanks again for your help. - Clay ------------------------ Clayton Dillard -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=10203#10203 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
