Thanks for the quick reply.. I did end up doing that but it's still kind of kludgy as I have to hardcode the URL to check in the perf. template...
One problem is that I'm forced to enter a host as opposed to an actual URL... and some of the URL I have to monitor happen to be physical devices I'm already monitoring... The others are virtual load-balanced URLs which tests the infrastructure as a whole (I guess dependencies would be useful here...) Do you think it would be possible to create a completely new class/object dedicated to doing just that or? Something like "Processes" or "Services"... but for web pages.. As I expect you'll get a lot of web hosting customers looking for something similar.
