My zensyslog process is consuming all of the CPU.

It is caused by a event.

Summary : /NAS4: Value too large for defined data type
Count: 36000 !!!

when I clear the event it comes back and quickly rises very high.
36000 counts where seen in about 20 minutes.

Any Idea what causes this event (this machine is also not reachable atm)
And any idee how to solve it?

If you have a device that is sending 36000 events every 20 minutes you should probably firewall it from zensyslog until you find out why it is doing this and correct it.

iptables -A INPUT -p udp --dport 514 -s <IP of device sending syslogs> -j DROP
