My understanding from other posts (I think it was Chet) is that you would add the devices to the central server with a different Performance Monitor. The remote zenoss server then needs to be configured with the following processes; zenperfsnmp zencommand zenprocess zenwin zeneventlog zenwinmodeler and in each of their configs they get monitor monitorName hubhost fqdn.of.central.zenoss.server
As far as the port that needs to be opened, not entirely sure but you can use lsof to determine what ports are being listened on and tcpdump to see the ports being attempted. Otherwise, you might want to allow requests from the secure zenoss server out to the firewalled boxes. I'm no security expert, but this may be more secure to allow connections out than opened ports coming in. ------------------------ Paul Mininni -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=10449#10449 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
