I just tried using Maintenance Windows for the first time today and ran into a
similar problem. When I set up a Maint Window for a device there is no
indication that the Window is in effect. The device's prod state never changes,
and events come through like normal.

So I thought, okay, I'll just work around this by grouping our servers together
and having the sys admins manually set the group they're working on to
Maintenance and then set them back to prod when they're done. Here's what I get
when I try doing this through the Systems or Group menus:

Code:
 Type: AttributeError
Value: findDevice

Traceback (innermost last):

    * Module ZPublisher.Publish, line 114, in publish
    * Module ZPublisher.mapply, line 88, in mapply
    * Module ZPublisher.Publish, line 40, in call_object
    * Module Products.ZenModel.DeviceOrganizer, line 189, in setProdState
    * Module Products.ZenModel.DeviceOrganizer, line 178, in _buildDeviceList

AttributeError: findDevice

Setting them manually seems to work fine through the Devices List menu, but
this means the admins have to pick out the servers they want to silence from a
long list.

I'm using Zenoss 2.0.0. Has anyone else seen this? Has there been a fix to this
problem in 2.0.1 - 2.0.6?

Zenoss is doing a great job of monitoring our system, but I keep finding
features that don't seem to work as expected according to the documentation and
no one can seem to tell me if this is my failing or Zenoss'. Has no one else
run into these problems? [here]

Sorry for the rant, but I'd really like to get our Zenoss system working
smoothly and keep running into blockers.

Nate
