[quote="ian"]The location's address just needs to be something that Google Maps knows how to put on a map. Toronto, Ontario, Canada should work just fine.
The confusing part is this: the "Map" tab doesn't show the /current/ Location, but instead its immediate children. This makes sense when you think about it, since otherwise each map would have a single dot, which isn't very useful. Try assigning addresses to your locations, then hitting the Map tab on the root /Locations object. Once you have devices in those locations, the color of the dots will change to reflect the aggregate status of those devices. Docs are coming soon. --Ian Still doesn't work. When I open the map tab at the /Location object I see the world. I even tried different cities in the US. Still nothing. I noticed when I in the Main View/Dashboard, I see in the browser status bar transfering data from maps.google.com to my servername over and over again likes it's in a loop. I wonder if the problem lies with the fact that I used a FQDN when I register for the Google API key and my server is not it's not a public ipaddress. Any thoughts. ------------------------ Randy MacFarland -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=10943#10943 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
