I'm having no luck modeling any of my Linux servers using Zenoss 2.0.91. I have seen the same problem reported by others who are running the VMware image and the resolution is to run something called "conary". I assume that program is only offered on the VM and is part of the supported package. My installation has no reference to it.
Here is the error I get when modeling a device.
