Example: Doing the command: snmpwalk -v2c psinpmsp 10.98.5.254 I get screenfull of information, so this tells me that it is responding... right? now why doesnt it show when I add the device in the Zenoss panel? dudemon wrote: > > For importing mibs in zenoss simply copy your mibs on > /opt/zenoss/share/mibs/site/ . > > After, become user zenoss ( I.E. su - zenoss if you was root ) > > zenmib run -v10 NAME-MIB.MIB > > where NAME-MIB.MIB is the name of mib, if you mib need other entities that > are inside other mibs, you can put on command line before your MIBS and after > the others mib that you need, you can check if import is ok, simply check on > mibs on zenoss portal , follow the manual you can set trap so can be decoded > via mib that you are now added > This worked, thanks.... Another question is I remember when installing Zenoss, it asked me for the MySQL DB user and password. I installed phpmyadmin and went to check the DB. The mysql table has a zenoss user, yet mysql doesnt have any DB that relates to zenoss... Should there be a DB? If so, how can I manualy setup the DB? Any help would be very much appreciated... ------------------------ Nelson Pereira -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=11359#11359 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
