You need a specific version of MYSQL, the version suggested by the
Zenoss deps...
I really recommend a clean RHEL5 base as that RPM install was much
easier, but if you really want RHEL4, you want to not have anything else
installed, install the dependencies and then install Zenoss.

ok, I've been having nothing but problems trying to install zenoss, and this is
my last wack at it before I move on to something else...
I removed everything that has to do with php, apache and mysql from my RHEL4
install including any resilient zenoss files and user settings.
My question is, i installed LAMPP which is apachedfriends complete
apache+php+mysql. That works fine and Mysql works fine.
The problem is when I try to run rpm -i zenoss-2.0.6-0.el4.i386.rpm, this is
what I get:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] Desktop]# rpm -i zenoss-2.0.6-0.el4.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
MySQL-client-standard >= 5.0.22 is needed by zenoss-2.0.6-0.i386
MySQL-server-standard >= 5.0.22 is needed by zenoss-2.0.6-0.i386
Whi is it still asking for MySQL client and server when it's already installed
with lampp? Or is this something else?
