I think you need to get zenoss-deps from their download site, uninstall
any MYSQL from your distro, and install those first.
It is easier to start with EL5 however.

After Ohio LinuxFest I have sipped the Zenoss Kool-Aid. I have experimented
with the VM Appliance. Now I am trying to install with RHEL4.
When I install mysql per the WEBAJ.com instructions I am installing mysql 4
from the RHN:
mysql-server-4.1.20.2.RHEL4.1.i386.rpm
+++
Log-in as root and run the following commands.
yum -y install mysql mysql-server net-snmp net-snmp-utils
+++
Zenoss 2.0.6 deps is mysql 5. When attempting to start mysql 5 I get the
following error:
"Couldn't find MySQL Manager or server"
What are the actual steps and dependencies to install Zenoss 2.0.6 on RHEL4
update4?
TIA,
