I recently installed and configured Zenoss on a server running Fedora Core 6. I have set up several Lotus Domino servers (Domino 7.0.1) on Zenoss and I am having trouble with the SMTP service monitor. Zenoss continually reports the SMTP service as down with the following error.
Code: IP Service smtp TIMEOUT waiting for '220' Every once in a while (about twice a day) the service will return to a running state for a minute or so before returning to a down state again. Manually telneting the server on port 25 shows that the server is responding with a "220..." string in a timely fashion. Any ideas or pointers?
