Is there a way you can create templates of device types, i.e I have
a Windows DC, it has these IP services and these Win Services, etc,
so when I add a new device, I can get it to set these details for
it (not just a DC, but other various devices types.)
The monitoring Ip/WinServices aren't handled by the template, but the
global service definition. If you want to make sure that the IISADMIN
service is running on any machine it is installed, you can set it's
global monitoring state to True.
1. Go to Services on the left navigation pane
2. Click into the WinService category
3. Click into the service you are interested in
4. Set its default monitoring state
You can do the same thing for IpServices and WinServices. This will
only setup monitoring on devices where the service can be found, and
can be overridden at the device level.
