Hello Devs,

While I liked the dashboards new looks at first glance, they also don't show as
much information as they used to.

Case in point, I can't tell when someone has acknowledged and event, and I also
can't tell how many types of each event has occurred... it seems to show only
the highest rated event instead of a count of all the varying types. I know
that the new 2.1.0 version is pretty rough still, but every iteration of the
new gui's seem to get less functional. There is a fine line between eye candy
and functionality that must be walked, but pretty icons at the expense of
useful information should be avoided in my opinion.

Things I like...
1. Ability to move the portlets around to customize the look of the dashboard.
2. location maps are cool.... when they work, I can't get mine to yet.
3. individual portlet refresh times.

Things I don't like.
1. Less info in the portlets at the expense of pretty icons, ie no acknowleged
column, only 1 color per line showing only the highest error
2. Gui has gotten more sluggish... starting to feel java-esqe.
3. Font sizes could be smaller to fit more info... would be nice to able to set
the size in each portlet.
4. In the device list... when trying to scroll, it has to reload stuff on the
fly which slows it way down.
5. in the root organizer portlet, the title should be set to systems, location,
group...etc depending on what is listed and the /systems or /group should be
hacked off to make more room to additional info.

Just my two cents...

Todd

P.S. I still love Zenoss, so please don't think I am attacking anyone... just
offering my opinion... and I could very well be in the minority.
