I'm getting a lot of snmp_authenticationFailures in 2.1. 2.0.6 and previous worked OK. I'm not getting it from every box, but all of my boxes are set up with the same snmp settings. These are all 2003 SP1 or SP2 systems. They also have SNMP Informant running.
Zenoss only uses the zSnmpCommunity property when it does SNMP monitoring of a device. When discovery is run, all of the communities in /Devices/zSnmpCommunities are tried in order. Is it possible that discovery is running, and this is what is generating the authentication failures?
The other possibility is that another tool is trying to access SNMP on your devices.
