Yep, mysqld is running and I can access the databases via users root and zenoss directly using mysql -u.
However, the file mysql.sock does not exist in /var/lib/mysql/ Instead, it exists in /tmp. What would be the proper way to correct this? Link? Zenoss config adjustment?
