I a trying to configure from source using Fedora 7
2.6.22.9-91.fc7

using the following:
zenoss-2.1.0-0.tar.gz downloaded from site

ran /install.sh after downloading but am receiving the following error:
This installer actually builds Zenoss.
For a simpler installation try the VMPlayer Appliance image,
or use RPMs for Redhat based systems.

Building...

Zenoss requires python 2.3 or 2.4

Python is installed - however version 2.5
Package python - 2.5-12.fc7.x86_64 is already installed.
Package python-devel - 2.5-12.fc7.i386 is already installed.
Package python-devel - 2.5-12.fc7.x86_64 is already installed

I really don't want to downgrade - should I wait for RPM or can I change the
install script to accept ver 2.5?

I don't want to have to run VMPlayer but will at last resort

Thanks in advance
