We are looking at using Zenoss as our monitoring and information system At this moment we are running Nagios which is monitoring:
415 Hosts: - 60% Debian linux - 30% Windows - 10% BSD, Solaris etc. On these hosts there are a total of 3842 different checks. Furthermore we are using OCS Inventory to retrieve the inventory of all our machines. And we are using Munin as a Trend Monitoring system, which is generating around 62000 images every 30 minutes. The following questions are rising: - How far is Zenoss able to take over these tasks. - What kind of system we are looking at, in configurability. - What type of machine do we need in hardware specs. - How easy is it to migrate from Nagios to Zenoss Is there anyone which can answer these questions for me?
