We configured our IP service ica [ica], tcp/udp port 1494, and set
'monitored' to True. However, Zenoss did not detect this service on
any of the Citrix servers.
We had to go to each server and add the ica IP service, and then
Zenoss started monitoring that service. Is this a bug? Is there a
trick to get the global configuration to propagate down? The other
global configuration we did (monitoring certain Windows services)
worked properly.
If the global configuration isn't supposed to work for this, can I
do this with a device template?
Try changing the zIpServiceMapMaxPort value for the device class your
Citrix servers are a part of. Anything over 1494 should do the trick.
Then you remodel the device and the Citrix port should be added
automatically.
