I'm curious to the type of things people are doing out of the ordinary in zenoss?
Currently, I'm syncing all of our VIPs from our LoadBalancer(Netscaler 9000) into zenoss. For instance if a VIP is called mg-www and it has 20 devices attached to it. my script will sync that into zenoss and create a new group called mg-www and move the devices into that group. Reason we do this is since the LoadBalancers should always be 100% correct when it comes to our environment, then so will zenoss when it comes to our monitoring. Working on creating a CMDB for our environment using Puppet/Oracle/TurboGears (I will integrate stuff from zenoss as well). Once this is completed it will manage pretty much every aspect of our environment. Thank you Zenoss, for if it was not for our software I would have never tried python. I now use python as my scripting/programming language of choice. I barely use perl any more.
