We have a somewhat unique situation. Several of our hosts report disk utilization incorrectly using the HOST-RESOURCES-MIB, but report it correctly using the UCD MIB. We have written an SNMP collector plugin which probes both OIDs and uses the UCD MIB to set up the filesystem object if it's present; otherwise it uses the HR-MIB. That was the easy part.
However, we aren't sure how we can also associate the appropriate Filesystem template during the discovery process. That is, if we find the UCD MIB on the system, we would like to bind a filesystem template with the OIDs appropriate to the UCD MIB; otherwise, we would like to bind the default filesystem template that uses the HOST-RESOURCES MIB. Is this possible, or are we barking up the wrong tree for this particular problem? I'm a bit of a newbie to Zenoss, so please bear with me if I haven't explained the problem in enough detail.
