Hi Everyone, As you can tell by my question I'm new to Zenoss, and I'm trying to get a handle on the best method to monitor snmp devices.
And before I get blasted, Im not lazy I have search the forums and reviewed most of the docs, I'm just having a bit of a brain fart, well actual it feels more like my first day on the job. So here's the deal the devices that I need to monitor are layer 2 which have the ability to send traps to Zenoss, the Mibs have additional information which I like to poll from Zenoss. So once the Mib is added to Zenoss does one still need to add the oid and set up the required graphs and other information by hand? Or does Zenoss actual build everything once the Mib is loaded. Could someone put together step by step instructions on the proper way to add snmp enabled equipment to Zenoss and how to monitor that equipment the correct way. Or point me in the direction where I missed this.
