Thanks. I hate to downgrade python. Will zenoss be compatible with python 2.5 anytime soon? Is my only chance of using zenoss on Fedora 7 dependant on my downgrading python?

Zenoss won't be Python 2.5 compatible anytime soon. There have been numerous threads on why this is on the forum in the past, but it basically boils down to the version of Zope that we use not being compatible with it.

The easiest way to run Zenoss on Fedora 7 would be to install Python 2.4 straight into /opt/zenoss and make Zenoss use that. You wouldn't want to try to downgrade the system Python.
