Greetings all. I'd seen several questions about proper timezone settings in the Zenoss appliance, but I didn't see a full answer in the forums... a couple pointers directed me to the fix, of course. Thanks for those.
The main fix was to tell Zope what timezone I wanted. For the vmware appliance, I edited the file /home/zenoss/bin/runzope. I added one line near the top: export TZ="EST5EDT" and save and exit. Shut down Zenoss and restart the vmware image, and bingo! The clock in the upper right corner was correct, and the times displayed in all my graphs were correct. Yay. Standard precautions apply: backup files before you edit them, please. Aside from that, make sure your ntpd is pointing at a time server you can reach and things ought to go ok. Hope this is helpful. --Jay -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=14153#14153 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
