I have a situation where I have 4 devices behind a firewall. I cannot access them however they can talk outbound. In Nagios, I was able to create a device name for each of them but because they are behind a firewall, they all appear to Zenoss as the same device. It seems I cannot add a device unless it has a DNS entry or I use some unique IP for each.
I'm using syslog to capture events from them but of course to Zenoss, they all appear to come from the same NAT'd device (public facing IP). Is there any way to get around this? Nagios seems to be able to simply map a device I setup with whatever name I like and I can send passive checks to it using it's passive daemons on the remote devices but I can't see how I can do this with Zenoss. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
