Hi, I'm urgently attempting to try out Zenoss. I'm having some issues with installing it with the RHEL4 compiled RPM.
My first issue was that it was complaining about dependencies, mysql-server and mysql-client. I run version 5.0.54 and for some reason it wouldn't pick up that I was running that version, I ended up installing it with the --nodeps paramater. Then when I first started it I received errors about permission denied with mysql, and then there were two other errors for zopectl and zeoctl. The RPM installation installed Zenoss to /opt/Zenoss. My questions are: 1. How can I specify my own superuser name and password for Zenoss mysql for the initial run? 2. How do I install zeoctl with the python script provided? I'm not sure how to configure it correctly? I have installed zopectl with no issues. Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated!
