While that is true, I'm just looking to remove that option in the
left menu only. Is that possible at all even in Enterprise?
You can easily remove the link if that's all you're interested in
doing. Use these steps:
1. Go to http://yourzenoss:8080/zport/portal_skins/zenmodel/manage
2. Find the "leftPane" template in the list and click it
3. Click the Cutomize button in the template to create a customized
leftPane
4. Find the list item (li) that contains the link to Device List and
remove it
5. Save
Now the Device List link is gone. Bear in mind that this removes the
link for all users. If you ever want to delete your customizations and
fall back to the original you can take these steps:
1. Go to http://yourzenoss:8080/zport/portal_skins/custom
2. Select any custom items you want to remove then click the Delete
button
