Heaps of thanks for the guide. I worked my way through it and actually got it up and running successfully after the FC6 rpm refused to work. That being said, I have a few corrections for you:
1. Whatever word processor you used to create the guide auto-capitalized the first word of every line. *nix novices may not get the finer points of case sensitive OS's. 2. The URL for the python download should be http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.4.4/Python-2.4.4.tar.bz2 3. When it came time to install Zenoss, I had to use the command ./install.sh from the /usr/local/zenoss/zenoss-2.1.2 directory. 4. To add Zenoss to boot, the proper command is chkconfig --add zenoss Other than that, it worked like a champ on my Fedora Core 8 install. Thanks again, Jeff P.S. I installed version 2.1.2, so that is why my directory name is different from yours. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=14942#14942 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
