I think your standard SNMPv2 MIBs will translate the linkup/down traps for you, 
but I could be wrong on that.


I like the idea of catching traps for interface changes but sometimes traps can 
be missed and would also like to do 5 or 10 min poll checks on the oper status. 
 

I followed the other post about setting up another counter and threshold and 
that seems to work, but I would like to make it so it only breaches the 
threshold if admin status is up and oper is down.  This way I can just admin 
the interface down in the network equipment and not have to worry about making 
changes in zenoss.  

I was thinking that if I put in the max value here.adminstatus but that doesn't 
seem to work.  

Anyone have any other ideas?
