I just installed latest version of the VM appliance (2.1.70) on a vmware esx server but I am having problems with ping.
We have a number of servers that are showing as status down and I can see ping failures in the event log but these servers are definitely up and running. I can even ping them from the command line of the zenoss box. It is not intermittent either because it has been showing as status down for over 8 hours. I have tried restarting zenoss but it made no difference. The strange thing is I have other servers setup with exactly the same settings and their ping status is fine Am i doing something stupid here?
