Hi,
You are indeed taking the right steps, but it sounds like the desired
SNMP information isn't being passed from the device to Zenoss. This is
usually an indication of a problem in the Collector process.
What specific collectors do you have associated with your device
class? Are you modeling a Dell or HP server by any chance? What
version of Zenoss core are you using?
You may want to run zenmodeler from the command line on one of your
devices and take a look at the output to see if you can identify any
problems:
# $ZENHOME/bin/zenmodeler run -v10 -d devicename
RAK

Hi all,
I've been playing around with zenoss for a week now and can't get
all the info I want in the OS panel of a configured host.
1- I created custom classes, one being Devices/Production/Server/
Linux.
2- I click on Devices in the left panel
3- I move to my custom class by clicking subsequently on Production -
> Server -> Linux.
4- Once there I go to More -> Collector plugins in order to
customize the information I want to pull up on the OS panel.
5- I choose the ones I want
6- I re-model the device.
I chose a couple of them like cpu, filesystem, interface,
interface_alias...The only ones that show up are filesystem,
interface and routes...
What I'm trying to understand is:
- Am I doing the right steps in order to get the proper info in the
OS panel and
- If I am, how come not all the info is there ? (specifically cpu
info and ip services...)
Thanks for your help !
