So it's a bug then, because a cache should never get corrupted when a system is
shut down.

In fact, this particular system gets shut down every evening and none of the
other server processes on it, such as Apache 2, trac, subversion, postfix mail,
ever have any trouble starting up again the next day.

And should a cache ever get corrupted, surely a restart should fix that?

I am evaluating Zenoss for our monitoring needs and out of Nagios, Pandora FMS,
Paesler IpCheck and some other solutions, I like it best so far. Despite the
state of the documentation I might add, because that is next to useless.

But having to worry if a monitoring solution comes backup after a system start,
that is really not acceptable.
