Well here is what I did to get upgraded to the latest since the update script
wasnt work etc.
-1) Ran a zenbackup and copied it off the VM instance
-2) Downloaded the new 2.1.2 appliance
-3) Started up appliance
-4) Copied over backup
-5) zenoss stop
-6) gunzipped and untarred the backup
-7) Changed the mysql DB to give access to localhost
- su -
- su - mysql
- mysql -u root -p
- grant all on *.* to 'root'@'localhost' identified by 'XXXXXX' (xxxx is
your db password)
-8) Exited back to zenoss user and ran zenrestore --dir zenbackup --dbpass XXXX
-v
-9) zenoss start
That worked..yippie and was a good restore test!
