Hello, Long story short I'm having difficulty configuring zenoss to report on the installed software for windows clients. I've ran a google search, looked through the available documentation, and done a quick forum search and have not found a "Installed Software on Windows For Dummies"... feel free to point me to one if it exists.
Do i have to install the advanced snmp-informant to get this feature working or is there an open source/freeware solution? If so, please provide a link to, or in your own writing describe, the client and server configuration required. As an aside, shouldn't WMI be able to tell Zenoss what's installed?
