Howdy all, First off, I just want to point out that I'm a n00b and ask in advance that you forgive my general lack of knowledge.
I'm currently using the Zenoss VM (kudos, so simple to get running) to monitor some Windows machines. For this case it's a Win XP SP2 machine. Next up is a 2003 server. I've started both SNMP services, configured the community string appropriately and installed SNMP Informant. Thus far, I'm pleased with the data I'm receiving. Next up I'll certainly be working on notifications. This brings me to my current issue: zenwinmodeler. I've got a reoccurring error: BILL|zenwinmodeler|/Status/Wmi/Conn||4|ERROR_NET_WRITE_FAULT: A write fault occurred on the network. (88) What I believe the issue to be is simply that I haven't installed the windows end of zenwin. I've done quite a bit of reading and I'm still not completely clear on where I've gone wrong. I've followed the ZenWin installation guide at: http://www.zenoss.com/community/docs/install-guides/zenwin-installation/ to no avail. I have python and pywin installed with the correct environment variables set. And that's where I drop off. I believe that I'm supposed to install zenwin on my windows machine, but there's no reference to where I can obtain it and my searching has turned up nothing. Again, I could be completely off base here, but this is my best guess. Thanks in advance for any help anyone is able to provide. Best regards, Bill -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=15984#15984 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
