Hello, I have Zenoss monitoring a web server farm and on each server I have a ping.txt file that tells me if everything is in working order.
I found a older posting on setting up the Send String but nothing that provided for Expect Regex. For the Send String I have: GET /ping.txt HTTP/1.0 If I telnet to port 80 of the server and enter the command I get this: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: Apache-Coyote/1.1 Content-Type: text/plain Content-Length: 23 Date: Fri, 01 Feb 2008 16:11:48 GMT Connection: close IT'S ALIVE, bwa ha ha For Expect Regex I have tried the follow strings to try and get a positive match: IT'S ALIVE, bwa ha ha IT'S ALIVE IT ALIVE IT/'S ALIVE .*ALIVE.* *ALIVE* but Zenoss keeps flagging the server as down. Does anyone know what the secret is? I'm wondering if the first 6 lines are messing things up, but I even tried HTTP* and it still failed. If anyone has the answer please let me know. Thanks, Jason -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=16020#16020 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
