After researching on this forum, I noticed that a lot of users are running RedHat and CentOS. I bit the bullet and installed CentOS 5, 32-bit. The RPM installed almost flawlessly and was extremely easy (since it did all the work for me) as opposed to compiling and installing from source in SLES. It's up and running and pretty stable. However, when I try to add a device it says it cannot get any snmp information from the device. However, I am running Nagios (1.3/Suse build) and Cacti (0.8.7a) on the same network (different server) and they can read SNMP data just fine! Two Questions: 1. Is there a way to import the device list from Cacti to Zenoss? I have about 1-200 devices. 2. What is up with the snmp woes? It works, the community is set corrently, what gives?
