Maybe this is unrelated, but during the upgrade process there was the following
glitch:

...
unpacking: /usr/src/zenoss-2.1.71/build/simplejson-1.4
building: /usr/src/zenoss-2.1.71/build/simplejson-build
installing: /usr/src/zenoss-2.1.71/build/simplejson
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password:
NO)
Warning: not overwriting existing file '/usr/local/zenoss/etc/zeo.conf'
Warning: not overwriting existing file '/usr/local/zenoss/bin/zeoctl'
Warning: not overwriting existing file '/usr/local/zenoss/bin/runzeo'
Starting Zope Object Database
...

Nevertheless the installation process continued until the "Successfully
installed Zenoss" message.

When I start Zenoss everything looks normal, I can see all my devices and all
daemons are running except for zenhub which dies without logging an error
message. The "zenoss issues" portlet shows: "no records found" entries.

Now this does not look right, does it? Any ideas?
