I think Im getting somewhere now

/events and then events tab selected

ESPBI /Status/Ping ESPBI ip 163.xxx.xx.xxx is down 2008/02/26 14:18:46.000
2008/02/26 14:18:46.000 1
 DSPBA /HW/Network/AdapterDown snmp trap 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.11.58.0.2
from DSPBA 2008/02/22 17:53:07.000 2008/02/26 14:19:25.000 16752

ESBI is the edge switch
DSPBA is the distribution switch which sees the edge switch go down and sends a
trap
I have loaded several MIBS, but cant see the one i want for this - I have over
100 hp procurve mibs - is there a way to load all of them, or do they have to
be loaded one at a time?

When I look in /events and select history I get

DSPBA 0 /Net/Link snmp trap snmp_linkUp from DSPBA 2008/02/26 14:26:06.000
2008/02/26 14:26:06.000 1
 DSPBA 0 /Net/Link snmp trap snmp_linkDown from DSPBA 2008/02/26
14:26:04.000 2008/02/26 14:26:04.000 1
 ESPBI /Status/Ping ESPBI ip 163.xxx.xxx.xxx is up 2008/02/26 14:25:40.000
2008/02/26 14:25:40.000 1
 DSPBA 0 /Net/Link snmp trap snmp_linkUp from DSPBA 2008/02/26 14:25:15.000
2008/02/26 14:25:15.000 1
ESPBI /Status/Ping ESPBI ip 163.xxx.xxx.xxx is down 2008/02/26
14:24:46.000 2008/02/26 14:24:46.000 1
 DSPBA 0 /Net/Link snmp trap snmp_linkDown from DSPBA 2008/02/26
14:24:43.000 2008/02/26 14:24:43.000 1
 DSPBA 0 /Net/Link snmp trap snmp_linkUp from DSPBA 2008/02/26 14:24:17.000
2008/02/26 14:24:17.000 1

So I can see that Zenoss is picking up the fact the switch is warm rebooting
every couple of minutes.
Im presuming I have mapped the classes correctly as they are not 'unknown' any
more?
Why are all the events going to History and not the events tab?

I am now going to try and work out event priorities and alerts...
